Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, who is an actress director, producer, playwright, teacher, and Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is from Britain as does her mother, who is a "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's early memories include attending play rehearsals and watching her mother's work. Anna appeared in numerous commercials when she was a child. Anna was able to move to Toronto in order to help her acting develop. In the following years, she was able to move to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, during an actor's training. They were engaged by 2009, after they got married. Anna converted to Judaism in the month of January, 2011, and then they re-wed at a Jewish wedding in Fredericton. Bo's same-sex romance with Lauren was highlighted in CNN's most popular television Couples ever, and was named the top TV Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's popularity on social media increased following the popularity of her show.
